Pocket offline reader

This app was introduced to me by my good friend @Aaron Mascarenhas. I happened to be surfing through his phone after just getting my awesome new Samsung galaxy grand phone. Since I knew his phone would be a treasure trove of applications.
So enough of the praising part. Anyways when I surfed through I saw the app and like all curious ones asked what does this app do. Then he Sat and explained with an example, which I mite quote now "imagine u are surfing the net and u find a really awesome article but just don't have the time to read it them and there. That's where  pocket comes to the rescue."
Once u install the app on ur phone and enter ur login details and Id, ul have to install add ons in your web browser which you can find online quite easily. Once the ground work done the rest shud be quite easy. I mean the next time u find some juicy article which u feel u shud read just hit the pocket add on button and the app downloads the article to ur phone for offline reading which u can read wherever say bus ride, a boring class room lecture any place😃

Llama, a battery saver indeed

Llama is another app that is a must recommend on any Android phone.

Via this tiny small app almost every function in ones phone can be completed.

Say for example, since I am currently an Intern (MBBS) in a hospital I need my phone to give a substantial battery life but I also need my internet to be connected so that I can also be in touch with my friends through whatsapp.  But since I check my msgs only once in 1 to 2 hours I don't actually need my phone internet to be on throughout. Here llama comes into play. One can program it in such a way that it will turn on ur internet at a set interval.  Say every 20 mins downloads the msgs and then turns the internet back off. Bingo 2 birds with 1 stone. I am getting my msgs and also my battery is saved.
There many other functions like auto sync that can be turned on ONLY when Wi-Fi is connecTed so as to save those precious mobile data Mbs😁

Helium (Android APP Backup)

This app is an extremely useful app. Say for example you realize that your phone is going all hay wire and god forbid you have to factory restore your phone and now you have all these precious app data. In our age Eg. Whatsapp conversations etc. can be EASILY stored by this app.

There are 2 ways which you can use this app. One is just take a data backup and NOT the apk file. That means you'll only have the app data and you ll have to download the apk from google play store directly. REcommend using the option of taking a backup of the apk ALONG with data. Saves a lot of time.

TATA Docomo GET (free calls galore:) )

An app that one must try I feel at least for the Tata Docomo users with android is Tata DOCOMO GET (Get Easy Talktime) app. If one is as stingy as me in paying for calls then this one is DEFINITELY for you :)

It is a simple app in which the user downloads the app (link given below) and every time prior to making a call the app pops up asking whether you want to make a FREE call (Hell Ya!!) or a paid one (in case you don't have the time to waste and need things to be done quickly)

So once you agree to go for a Free call. All you have to do is watch an ad for 20 secs and that's it DONE. Your account now gets credited 1 min:) so you can continue doing this and accumulating minutes in the morning and then throughout the day just keep using the balance that is stored up.(the max calls in a day is only 4 I think for the time being)

If have any doubts on how to use it will be more than happy to answer.

PS currently know it works ONLY on android phones. So windows user you better have to keep searching elsewhere:(
